As frameless glass specialists, Room Outside® was entrusted to install contemporary structural glazing throughout the property. We maximised the impact of the full-height barn doors and archways with elegant frameless glass, preserving the home’s heritage while introducing a sleek, modern touch. Additionally, we designed and installed a striking frameless glass box extension, providing a seamless space to relax and entertain—while enjoying breathtaking views of the landscaped courtyard and gardens.

Our customer wanted to seamlessly blend the traditional charm of the original barn with the modern extension and contemporary glass, creating a striking yet sympathetic design that respects the building’s heritage.

Frameless glass was the perfect solution, offering uninterrupted views of the garden while allowing natural light to flood the property. The statement windows and doors add a true wow factor, enhancing the grandeur of this magnificent home.

A frameless glass entrance hall was also designed, featuring a slanted lean-to-style roof, frameless frontage, and sleek frameless doors. This stunning glass box entrance provides a spectacular and welcoming first impression for family and guests alike.

All glass used in this project is specially engineered for temperature control, helping to retain warmth in winter while keeping the home comfortable during the brighter, warmer months of spring and summer.

Alongside installing the frameless glass windows, doors, and entrance, we also designed and built a contemporary, fully glazed room to create a light-filled extension seamlessly connected to the main living space. This open-plan design allows even more natural light to flood the home.

The glass box is constructed from structural glass, providing the strength and stability needed to create a room without the traditional timber, aluminium, or uPVC frames commonly seen in orangery and conservatory extensions. Like the windows, this design incorporates advanced thermal and glare technology to minimise heat build-up, reduce glare, and block harmful UVA and UVB rays, while also retaining warmth during colder months.

With no visible framework, the glass extension offers uninterrupted views of the beautifully landscaped grounds, enhancing the connection between the indoors and outdoors. This design creates the feeling of being immersed in nature while enjoying the comfort of a sheltered space, making it a stunning feature that can be enjoyed year-round—whatever the British weather brings.
